  • Saunas are constructed of Fir which does not give off the toxic gas (Cedrene) that cedar, redwood, and poplar do when heated.

  • Hemlock, a fir wood, has the longest life span of any wood used in the industry. Pine woods, such as white pine, cedar, and sitka, give off an oily toxin under high temeratures.
